To be eligible to apply for a school space, a pupil must be experiencing emotional barriers to school attendance (EBSA), anxiety, mental health difficulties and co-occurring difficulties, such as autism.
All pupils must have a proposed, draft or final EHCP.
Our pupils display internalised dysregulation. We do not accept young people with externalising behaviours due to our pupils' need for a calm, consistent and quiet learning environment.

Application
Request placement with caseworker, who will then, if in agreement, submit consultation paperwork to us requesting feedback on whether we can meet need
The Sage School Panel
Review of EHCP paperwork at The Sage School's Panel to decide whether need can be met, and if an appropriate peer group could be formed
Assessment (Visit Day)
The young person is invited to visit The Sage School where they will go through some academic materials, meet with a member of the school leadership team who will spend some time getting to know them
Outcome
The outcome is communicated to both the local authority and parents/carers via email
Transition
If the offer is agreed by the local authority, the student will begin a transition programme to The Sage School
